Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi Computer Based Test (CBT) di SDI Al-Chusnaini berbasis web dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses evaluasi belajar mengajar di sekolah, serta memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa dalam mengikuti ujian secara daring. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini, diharapkan siswa dapat lebih termotivasi dan lebih siap menghadapi ujian. Metode Waterfall dipilih dalam penelitian ini karena pendekatan yang sistematis dan berurutan, dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, hingga pengujian dan pemeliharaan. Setiap fase dilakukan dengan teliti untuk memastikan bahwa semua kebutuhan pengguna terpenuhi dan aplikasi berfungsi sesuai harapan. Proses ini melibatkan kolaborasi antara pengembang dan guru sebagai pengguna akhir, sehingga aplikasi dapat dirancang sesuai dengan konteks pendidikan di SDI Al-Chusnaini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi CBT yang dilengkapi dengan fitur pengelolaan soal, pelaksanaan ujian, dan analisis hasil ujian yang user-friendly. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi ini, diharapkan proses evaluasi di SDI Al-Chusnaini menjadi lebih modern, efisien, dan terintegrasi, serta meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam penerapan teknologi informasi dalam proses belajar mengajar.

This research aims to design and develop a Computer Based Test (CBT) application at SDI Al-Chusnaini based on web technology using the Waterfall software development method. The application is intended to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the evaluation process in teaching and learning, while also providing convenience for students to take exams online. It is hoped that the availability of this application will motivate students and better prepare them for assessments. The Waterfall method was chosen for this study due to its systematic and sequential approach, starting from requirement analysis, system design, implementation, to testing and maintenance. Each phase was carried out meticulously to ensure that all user needs were met and the application functions as expected. This process involved collaboration between developers and teachers as end-users, ensuring that the application was designed to fit the educational context of SDI Al-Chusnaini. The result of this research is a CBT application equipped with features for question management, exam administration, and result analysis that is user friendly. With this application, the evaluation process at SDI Al-Chusnaini is expected to become more modern, efficient, and integrated, ultimately improving the overall quality of education. Additionally, this application is anticipated to serve as a model for other schools in implementing information technology in their teaching and learning processes.
