IMPLEMENTASI JARINGAN HOTSPOT MENGGUNAKAN METODE NDLC DI SD HANG TUAH 11 SIDOARJO

Perkembangan teknologi informasi menuntut institusi pendidikan untuk menyediakan infrastruktur jaringan internet yang memadai, stabil, dan aman. SD Hang Tuah 11 Sidoarjo sebelumnya mengalami kendala dalam distribusi koneksi internet, terutama terkait sinyal yang tidak merata, lambatnya kecepatan akses, serta tidak adanya sistem manajemen bandwidth dan kontrol pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan jaringan hotspot menggunakan metode NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) sebagai solusi terhadap permasalahan tersebut. Metode NDLC terdiri dari enam tahap utama, yaitu analisis, desain, simulasi, implementasi, monitoring, dan manajemen. Perangkat utama yang digunakan adalah Mikrotik RB750, yang dikonfigurasi sebagai router utama dan pengelola hotspot. Jaringan dirancang untuk menjangkau tiga area penting sekolah, yaitu ruang guru, perpustakaan, dan ruang kepala sekolah. Implementasi mencakup pengaturan IP address, DHCP, NAT, DNS, pembuatan hotspot server, serta manajemen user dan bandwidth berdasarkan kategori pengguna, seperti guru, siswa, staf, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil dari implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem hotspot berjalan dengan baik dan stabil. Pengguna mendapatkan akses internet sesuai dengan batas kecepatan yang telah ditetapkan pada masing-masing profil. Selain itu, jaringan dapat dikelola dengan lebih mudah dan aman melalui sistem login dan pemantauan aktif pengguna. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa metode NDLC efektif dalam membangun dan mengelola jaringan hotspot yang efisien dan tepat guna di lingkungan sekolah dasar.

The advancement of information technology demands educational institutions to provide reliable, stable, and secure internet infrastructure. SD Hang Tuah 11 Sidoarjo previously faced several issues in its network system, such as unstable signal coverage, slow internet speed, and the absence of proper bandwidth management and user control. This research aims to implement a hotspot network using the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method as a solution to overcome these problems. The NDLC method consists of six main phases: analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management. The main device used is the Mikrotik RB750, which is configured as the central router and hotspot controller. The network was designed to cover three main areas within the school: the teacher’s room, the library, and the principal’s office. The implementation includes configuring IP addresses, DHCP, NAT, DNS, setting up the hotspot server, and managing users and bandwidth allocation based on user categories such as teachers, students, staff, and the principal. The results show that the hotspot system operates efficiently and stably. Users receive internet access according to the speed limits defined by their respective profiles. Additionally, the system allows for secure user login and real- time monitoring, making network management more effective. This research demonstrates that the NDLC method is effective in building and managing a practical and efficient hotspot network within an elementary school environment.
