Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pemahaman menulis pada siswa kelas delapan SMPN 2 BESUKI. Siswa telah diajarkan tentang teks deskiptive tetapi masih ada saja siswa yang masih belum memahami tentang penulisan deskiptive teks. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini ingin mendeskripsikan tentang aspek aspek penulisan deskiptive teks pada siswa. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas delapan SMPN 2 BESUKI. Jumlah siswa ada 25 anak sebagai sempela. Penelitian mengunakan interview, observation, dodumentation descriptive text student untuk mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian ini menemukan bahwa presentase penulisan deskiptive teks tata bahasa siswa mengidentifikasi nilai tertinggi dari Gramery adalah 16% kategori baik, nilai mekanik adalah 16 %, nilai konten adalah 8 %, nilai Organization adalah 12%. Dalam penerapan kriteria tata Bahasa yang memenuhi hasil menunjukkan bahwa 11 siswa (44%) menunjukkan kemahiran dalam menulis deskriptif, dengan empat siswa (16%) menunjukkan tingkat kemahiran yang tinggi dan sembilan siswa (36%) menunjukkan tingkat kemahiran yang memuaskan. Sebanyak 6% siswa diklasifikasikan memiliki tingkat kemahiran yang sangat baik, 36% memiliki tingkat kemahiran yang baik, dan 4% memiliki tingkat kemahiran yang cukup. Satu siswa (4%) diklasifikasikan sebagai memiliki tingkat kemahiran yang buruk.

The background of this study is the relevance of writing comprehension for eighth grade students of SMPN 2 BESUKI. Although students have been taught the skill of writing descriptive texts, there are still some who are not familiar with it. Therefore, the aim of this study is to record the aspects of writing descriptive texts among students, and the research is descriptive-qualitative in nature. The subjects of the study were 8th grade students of SMPN 2 BESUKI, with a random sample of 25 students. Interviews, observations and the documentation of descriptive texts by students were used to collect data as part of the research. The analysis of the research data showed that the percentage of descriptive grammar texts written by the students had the highest grammar score of 16% in the ‘Good’ category, the mechanical score was 16%, the content score was 8% and the organisation score was 12%. The application of the previously established grammar criteria revealed that 11 students (44%) demonstrated competence in descriptive writing, with four students (16%) demonstrating a high level of competence and nine students (36%) demonstrating a satisfactory level. Of these, 6% of students were categorised as having very good skills, 36% as having good skills and 4% as having adequate skills. One student (4%) was categorised as unsatisfactory.
