Abstract
Dalam era globalisasi dan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital, budaya lokal semakin tersisih dari keseharian anak-anak, terutama mereka yang berusia 8–11 tahun. Anak-anak pada rentang usia ini cenderung lebih akrab dengan tokoh animasi asing daripada karakter budaya sendiri seperti Punakawan. Padahal, tokoh Punakawan memuat nilai-nilai luhur seperti kejujuran, kerja sama, dan kesederhanaan yang penting dalam pembentukan karakter anak. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan media visual yang edukatif dan menarik untuk memperkenalkan kembali budaya lokal kepada generasi muda secara menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang animasi 2D bertema karakter Punakawan sebagai media literasi budaya yang sesuai dengan perkembangan kognitif dan minat anak usia 8–11 tahun. Hasil perancangan meliputi tiga video animasi bertema nilai-nilai karakter, yaitu kejujuran, sikap antri, dan kerja sama. Selain itu, dikembangkan pula media pendukung seperti stiker, poster, x-banner, stand character, photocard character, gantungan kunci, kaos, tote bag, tumbler, stand video motion character untuk memperkuat penyampaian pesan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa animasi 2D dapat menjadi sarana literasi budaya yang efektif dan menyenangkan, serta mampu mendekatkan kembali anak-anak pada nilai-nilai budaya lokal melalui media yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman dengan realitas kehidupan anak-anak masa kini.

In the era of globalization and the rapid development of digital technology, local culture is increasingly excluded from the daily lives of children, especially those aged 8-11 years. Children in this age range tend to be more familiar with foreign animated figures than cultural characters themselves such as Punakawan. In fact, the character of Punakawan contains noble values such as honesty, cooperation, and simplicity which are important in the formation of children's character. Therefore, educational and interesting visual media is needed to reintroduce local culture to the younger generation in a fun way. This research aims to design 2D animation with the theme of Punakawan characters as a cultural literacy medium that is in accordance with the cognitive development and interests of children aged 8–11 years. The design results include three animated videos with the theme of character values, namely honesty, queue attitude, and cooperation. In addition, supporting media such as stickers, posters, x-banners, character stands, photocard characters, keychains, t-shirts, tote bags, tumblers, video motion character stands were also developed to strengthen the message delivery. This research shows that 2D animation can be an effective and fun means of cultural literacy, and is able to bring children closer to local cultural values through media that is in accordance with the times and the reality of today's children's lives.
