Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengucapan bahasa inggris pada siswa kelas 7 SMP Negeri 3 Waru. Pengucapan dalam bahasa inggris merupakan elemen penting dalam keahlian berbicara dan juga salah satu kunci untuk
memperoleh kesuksesan dalam berkomunikasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk mengidentifikasi analisa pengucapan siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan model penelitian kualitatif dimana dalam mengolah data, peneliti mendeskripsikan, memberikan analisa mendalam serta menjelaskan hasil secara rinci. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa SMP Negeri 3 Waru. Sampel dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 22 siswa. Untuk instrumen penelitian, peneliti menganalisa berdasarkan spoken test dan menggunakan aplikasi speechnotes serta kriteria penilaian untuk mengukur kemampuan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menemukan klasifikasi nilai siswa dalam tes tersebut. Dari seluruh nilai siswa, terdapat 16 siswa (72%) mendapat nilai Baik, 2 siswa (4,5%) mendapat nilai Cukup, dan 4 siswa (18%) mendapat nilai kurang. Tidak ada siswa yang mendapat klasifikasi nilai jelek dan tidak ada siswa yang mendapat klasifikasi nilai sangat baik dalam test.

This study aims to identify the pronunciation of English in grade 7 students of SMP Negeri 3 Waru. English pronunciation is an important element in speaking skills and also one of the keys to success in communicating. Based on this, the
researcher is interested in identifying the analysis of student speech. In this study, researchers used a qualitative research model where in processing data, researchers described, provided in-depth analysis and explained the results in detail. This research involved students of SMP Negeri 3 Waru. The sample of this study consisted of 22 students. For instrument research, researcher analyzed based on oral tests and used speechnotes applications and assessments to measure students' abilities. Based on the research results, the researcher found a classification of students' scores in the test. Out of all student scores, 16 students (72%) got good grades, 2 students (4.5%) got fair scores, and 4 students (18%) got poor scores. None of the student got the classification poor score and none of the student got the classification score excellent on the test. It shows that the student is still lack of pronunciation.
