Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan membaca surah Al-Qadr dengan menggunakan metode drill pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadist di kelas VI MI Darussalam Keboguyang Jabon Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya keterampilan membaca Al-Qur’an yang benar sesuai dengan kaidah tajwid dan makhraj huruf, serta masih ditemukannya siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca surah Al-Qadr. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa telah mengalami peningkatan dalam membaca surah Al-Qadr, di antaranya 55,56% meningkat signifikan, 33,33% meningkat sedang, dan 11,11% belum meningkat. Kesulitan yang paling banyak dialami siswa meliputi panjang-pendek bacaan (mad dan qashr), hukum tajwid, dan makhraj huruf. Adapun faktor pendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran meliputi lingkungan keluarga, kesiapan psikologis siswa, dan metode pengajaran guru yang efektif, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dan keterbatasan waktu belajar. Metode drill terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an jika diterapkan secara konsisten dan terarah.

This study aims to analyze students’ ability to read Surah Al-Qadr using the drill method in the Qur’an Hadith subject for sixth-grade students at MI Darussalam Keboguyang, Jabon, Sidoarjo. The background of the study is based on the importance of mastering Qur’anic reading skills according to tajweed rules and proper articulation (makhraj), as well as the observation that many students still face difficulties reading Surah Al-Qadr. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that most students showed improvement in reading Surah Al-Qadr, with 55.56% showing significant improvement, 33.33% moderate improvement, and 11.11% showing no improvement. The most common difficulties encountered were in the aspects of vowel length (mad and qashr), tajweed rules, and articulation points. Supporting factors included a conducive family environment, students’ psychological readiness, and effective teaching methods. Inhibiting factors involved low student motivation and limited study time. The drill method proved effective in enhancing students’ reading ability when applied consistently and systematically.
