Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran inovatif, yaitu permainan Ular Tangga online, untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris dan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas 8 di SMP Al Baisuny di
Kokop, Indonesia. Permainan ini dirancang menggunakan platform Genially, mengintegrasikan elemen interaktif dan selaras dengan kurikulum yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE, yang melibatkan tahapan analisis,
desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 61% siswa setuju bahwa permainan ini dapat melatih keterampilan berbicara
mereka, dan penilaian guru menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam skor berbicara siswa. Permainan ini menerima skor akhir 98% dari validasi ahli media dan 92% dari validasi materi, menunjukkan kelayakan dan efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa permainan ini dapat menjadi alat yang berharga untuk pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, memberikan alternatif untuk metode pembelajaran interaktif online tradisional. Penelitian di masa depan dapat mengembangkan studi ini dengan mengintegrasikan lebih banyak aktivitas interaktif untuk lebih meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek teknis dan aksesibilitas untuk memastikan kegunaannya di berbagai perangkat.

This study aimed to develop an innovative learning media, an online Snakes and Ladders game, to enhance English learning motivation and speaking skills among 8th grade students at SMP Al Baisuny Junior High School in Kokop, Indonesia. The game was designed using the Genially platform, integrating
interactive elements and aligning with the existing curriculum. The study employed the ADDIE model, involving stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.The results showed that 61% of students agreed
that the game can train their speaking skills, and the teacher's assessment indicated a significant increase in students' speaking scores. The game received a final score
of 98% from media expert validation and 92% from material validation, indicating its feasibility and effectiveness.This study recommends that the game can be a
valuable tool for English learning, providing an alternative to traditional online interactive learning methods. Future research can build upon this study by integrating more interactive activities to further enhance students' speaking skills, considering technical and accessibility aspects to ensure usability across various devices.
