Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang jenis-jenis tindak tutur yang digunakan oleh guru bahasa Inggris di kelas berbicara aktif di Kampoeng Sinaoe Sidoarjo. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis tindak tutur yang digunakan oleh guru Bahasa inggris di kelas berbicara aktif di Kampoeng Sinaoe. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah ucapan-ucapan yang diucapkan oleh guru bahasa Inggris
dikelas berbicara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Data diperoleh melalui melakukan observasi disertai rekaman video. Data tersebut kemudian ditranskripsikan ke dalam bentuk tertulis, ditulis dalam lembar data, diinterpretasikan dan dianalisis menggunakan teori tindak tutur yang dikemukakan oleh Searle. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif interaktif yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman (1994). Selain itu, sistem pengkodean juga diterapkan untuk memudahkan peneliti dalam
mengklasifikasikan data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga macam tindak tutur yang dilakukan guru, yaitu representatif, direktif, dan ekspresif. Tindak ilokusi yang paling sering digunakan adalah direktif (55.46%), sedangkan
tindak ilokusi yang paling jarang digunakan adalah ekpresif (20.17%). Dominasi tindak tutur direktif ini mencerminkan peran guru dalam membimbing dan mengelola kegiatan kelas, memberikan instruksi, dan meminta tindakan dari siswa.

This research discusses the types of speech acts used by English teachers in active speaking classes at Kampoeng Sinaoe Sidoarjo. The aim of this research is to identify the types of speech acts used by English teacher at active speaking class in Kampoeng Sinaoe. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design. The object of the research consists of the utterances made by the English teacher at active speaking class in the learning process. Data were obtained through observation accompanied by video recordings. The data were then transcribed into written form, written in data sheets, interpreted, and analyzed using Searle's speech act theory. Data analysis employed the interactive qualitative method suggested by Miles and Huberman (1994). Additionally, a coding system was also
applied to facilitate the researcher in classifying the data. The research findings indicate that there are three types of speech acts performed by the teacher: representative, directive, and expressive. The illocutionary act most frequently used is directive (55.46%), while the illocutionary act least frequently used is expressive (20.17%). This dominance of directive speech acts reflects the teacher's role in guiding and managing classroom activities, giving instructions, and requesting actions from the students.
