Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gaya gesek dan gaya magnet kelas IV SDN Bligo. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena kurangnya pemahaman
peserta didik pada materi gaya gesek dan gaya magnet. Hal ini dibuktikan, dari 23 peserta didik ada 16 peserta didik yang belum tuntas pada ulangan harian IPAS dan 8 peserta didik yang belum tuntas pada nilai STS (Sumatif Tengah Semester). Penelitian ini sekaligus untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis pre-experiment dengan
desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas IV A SDN Bligo yang berjumlah 23 peserta didik. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest peserta didik kelas IV A.
Berdasarkan uji normalitas data pretest = 0.139 > 0.05 dan posttest = 0.056 > 0.05, artinya data berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan, hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample Test diperoleh sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000, berhubung nilai 0.000 < 0.05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya ada perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest setelah penerapan model inquiry. Sementara itu, hasil peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan uji N-gain sebesar 0.51 dengan kategori
sedang. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inquiry berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gaya gesek dan gaya magnet kelas IV SDN Bligo.

This study aims to determine the effect of the inquiry model on students critical thinking skills on the material of friction and magnetic SDN Bligo 4th grade. This study was motivated by the lack of understanding of students on the material of friction and magnetic force. This is proven, of the 23 students there are 16 students who have not completed the daily science test and 8 students who have not completed the STS (Mid Semester Summative) score. This research is also to train students critical thinking skills. This type of research is a quantitative research type pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study was class IV A SDN Bligo which amounted to 23 students. Data on critical thinking skills in this study were obtained from the pretest and posttest results of class IV A students’. Based on the normality test, the pretest data (0.139) > 0.05 and posttest (0.056) > 0.05, meaning that the data is normally distributed. Meanwhile, the results of hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample Test obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0.000, since the value of 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in pretest and posttest scores after the application of the inquiry model. gain test amounted to 0.51 with a moderate category. Thus it can be concluded that the inquiry model affects the critical thinking skills of students on the material of friction and magnetic force in class IV SDN Bligo.
