Abstract
suatu masalah yaitu kurangnya disiplin belajar peserta didik.

This research is based on an interview with a fourth grade educator of Boro Tanggulangin State Elementary School, on July 29, 2023, a problem was found, namely the lack of student learning discipline. Students do not understand what
the meaning of learning discipline in school is, such as discipline in entering school, discipline in attending lessons at school, and discipline in doing assignments at school. This is because before learning and during learning there is a lack of encouragement of interest and understanding of what learning discipline is to students, so that students lack in the application of learning discipline at school. This study aims to (1) Determine the effect of reward and punishment on students' learning discipline. The results of this study showed that the effect of reward and punishment was good, which was tested through the results of the validation test of the student questionnaire with a percentage of 85.7% with the category of "valid" in the results of the hypothesis test on the reward variable (X1) Ho accepted by Ha was rejected. This shows that there is no
positive influence on the reward variable (X2) on the variable (Y) of learning discipline. However, the results of the hypothesis test on the punishment variable (X2) Ho were rejected by Ha, which showed that there was a positive influence on the variable (Y) of learning discipline. In addition, the study of the effect of reward and punishment on learning discipline deserves to be an interactive learning method between educators and students.
