Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam bahasa inggris siswa SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro. Guru dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan membaca ekstensif. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada pencapaian peningkatan hasil belajar pelajaran bahasa inggris dalam membaca siswa dengan melakukan tes setelah tindakan perlakuan membaca ekstensif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes, buku bacaan “Fun Reading, RPP, dan nilai awal siswa. Observasi menggunakan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran sebagai bahan reflektif pada tindakan pembelajaran. Instrumen soal diberikan kepada siswa setelah dilakukan treatment. untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa di SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I pembelajaran tindakan perlakuan membaca ekstensif. Nilai awal siswa rata-rata 68,7 dan nilai akhir siswa 82,2. Hasil belajar pelajaran bahasa inggris dalam membaca siswa meningkat 19,59% pada siklus I perlakuan membaca ekstensif dari 16,38% sebelum tindakan perlakuan. guru mampu menerapkan membaca ekstensif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan
membaca siswa SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro.

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in English for students at SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro. Teachers in improving student learning outcomes by using extensive reading. This research is focused on the achievement of improving students' learning outcomes in English in reading by doing tests after extensive reading treatment. The data collection technique in this study was a test. The instruments used in this study were test questions, reading books "Fun Reading, lesson plans, and students' initial scores. Observations using the Learning Implementation Plan as a reflective material on the learning action. Instrument questions are given to students after treatment. To see the improvement of students' reading ability at SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro. The results of this study indicate that the students of SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro experienced an increase in the first cycle of extensive reading treatment action learning. The students' initial grades averaged 68.7 and the final grades of students were 82.2. The results of learning English lessons in students' reading increased by 19.59% in the first cycle of extensive reading treatment from 16.38% before the treatment action. teachers are able to apply extensive reading to improve
students' reading skills at SDN Tanjangrono 2 Ngoro.
