PENGARUH PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATIC EDUCATION TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA PEMBELAJARAN GEOMETRI SISWA KELAS IV SDN PILANG 1

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh keterampilan berpikir kritis yang rendah penyebabnya adalah kurang efektifnya pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Pendekatan yang diterapkan guru di kelas menjadikan siswa pasif dan takut karena anggapan
mereka bahwah pelajaran matematika adalah pelajaran yang sulit dan menakutkan. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education. RME terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN Pilang 1 dengan 20 siswa. Pentingnya guru untuk menerapakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan bersifat nyata dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metodelogi penelitian ini yaitu kuntitatif, jenis penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen semu dan menggunakan desain penelitian one grup pretest and postest. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu Nilai thitung = 9,94 dan > ttabel = 2,09. Rata-rata nilai pretest yaitu 49,70 sedangkan postest mengalami kenaikan yaitu 72,77. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nilai pretest dan postest setelah diterapkannya RME. Dapat disimpukan bahwa pendekatan RME berpengaruh pada keterampilan berpikir kristis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika.
