Abstract

Peningkatan gaya hidup yang semakin pesat menyebabkan peningkatan kebutuhan pokok berupa sandang atau pakaian. Metode Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) merupakan salah satu teknologi inovatif untuk menurunkan fenol, TSS dan pH pada limbah batik yang hasil akhirnya tidak berbahaya, ramah lingkungan serta menghasilkan CO2 dan H2O. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh AOPs berbasis Ozon-GAC pada limbah cair batik serta mengetahui efisiensi penyisihan fenol, TSS, dan pH pada pengolahan limbah cair batik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode batch. Pengoperasian reaktor menggunakan ozon genertor dan magnetic stirer. Sampel limbah cair batik yang telah dipreparasi, diambil
sebanyak 500 ml dan dimasukkan ke dalam reaktor. Sampel limbah cair batik diozonasi dengan variasi waktu 90, 120, 150 menit dan memvariasikan penambahan karbon aktif dengan massa 2 dan 3 gram. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efisiensi penurunan kadar fenol dan TSS menggunakan metode AOPs berbasis Ozon-GAC. Penyisihan
fenol dengan variasi waktu kontak 90 menit dan dosis 2 gram menunjukkan efisiensi 44,2%, waktu kontak 90 menit dan dosis 3 gram sebesar 75,2%, waktu kontak 120 menit dan dosis 2 gram sebesar 77,8% waktu kontak 120 dan dosis 3 gram sebesar 80,8%, waktu kontak 150 dan dosis 2 gram sebesar 83,3% waktu kontak 150 menit dan dosis 3 gram sebesar 84,2%. Penyisihan TSS dengan variasi waktu kontak 90 menit dan dosis 2 gram sebesar 48%, waktu kontak 90 menit dan dosis 3 gram sebesar 64%, waktu kontak 120 menit dan dosis 2 gram sebesar 52%, waktu kontak 120 menit dan dosis 3 gram sebesar 96%, waktu kontak 150 menit dan dosis 2 gram sebesar 52%, waktu kontak 150 menit dan dosis 3 gram sebesar 96%. Pada metode AOPs berbasis Ozon-GAC diperoleh waktu terbaik dan dosis terbaik adalah variasi 150 menit dan dosis 3 gram.

The rapid increase in lifestyle has led to an increase in basic needs in the form of clothing or clothing. The Advanced Oxidation Process (AOPs) method is one of the innovative technologies to reduce phenol, TSS and pH in batik waste which is harmless, environmentally friendly and produces CO2 and H2O. This study aims to determine the effect of Ozone-GAC based AOPs on batik wastewater and determine the efficiency of phenol, TSS, and pH removal in batik wastewater treatment. This research uses a batch method with a 2000 mL beaker volume. The reactor operation used ozone genertor and magnetic stirrer. The sample of batik liquid waste that has been prepared is taken as much as 1.5 liters and put into the reactor. Samples of batik liquid waste were ozonated with time variations of 90, 120 minutes and varying the addition of activated carbon with a mass of 2 and 3 grams. This study shows to determine the effect and efficiency of reducing phenol and TSS levels using the Ozone-GAC based AOPs method. The effect of Ozone-GAC based AOPs method on phenol and TSS levels because the ozonation process produces dissolved ozone and radicals (●OH) can be used to degrade phenol and TSS. Removal of phenol with a variation of contact time of 90 minutes and a dose of 2 grams of efficiency level of 44.2%, contact time of 90 minutes and a dose of 3 grams of 75.2%, contact time of 120 minutes and a dose of 2 grams of 77.8% contact time 120 and a dose of 3 grams of 80.8%, contact time 150 and a dose of 2 grams of 83.3% contact time 150 minutes and a dose of 3 grams of 84.2%. In the
Ozone-GAC-based AOPs method, the optimum time and optimum dose are the 150-minute variation and a dose of 3 grams.
