Abstract

Seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin pesat maka mengalami kebutuhan pokok berupa sandang atau pakaian. Industri batik dalam proses produksinya menghasilkan limbah cair yang jumlahnya mencapai 80% dalam proses pembatikan. Alternatif pengolahan limbah batik yang dapat digunakan yaitu dengan metode teknologi oksidasi tingkat lanjut atau disebut Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). Salah satu metode oksidasi tingkat lanjut adalah ozonasi dan fenton. Diharapkan dengan adanya proses kombinasi dapat menghasilkan OH radikal yang optimal dan meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh AOPs dengan Ozonasi dan Fenton serta mengetahui efisiensi penyisihan BOD5, COD dan TSS pada pengolahan limbah cair batik. Penelitian ini menggunakan batch dengan gelas beker volume 2000 mL. Pengoperasian reaktor menggunakan ozon generator dan magnetic stirrer. Sampel limbah cair batik yang telah dipreparasi, diambil sebanyak 1 liter dan dimasukkan ke dalam reaktor. Sampel limbah cair batik diozonasi selama 150 menit dan penambahan reagen fenton konsentrasi FeSO4.7H2O 10% dan H2O2 35% masing-masing sebanyak 10 ml. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil efisiensi penyisihan terbaik BOD5, COD dan TSS dalam pengolahan limbah cair batik dengan kombinasi ozonasi dan fenton masing-masing sebesar 96%, 97,8% dan 85%.

Furthermore, with the rapid growth of the population, there is abasic needs in the form of clothes or garment. The batik industry in the production process production process produces liquid waste, which is around 80% in the the batik process. Alternative batik waste treatment that can be used is the method of advanced oxidation technology or called Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). One of the methods of advanced oxidation is ozonation and fenton. It is expected that the combination process can produce optimal OH radicals and increase the process efficiency. This study is intended to determine the effect of AOPs with ozonation and fenton and to determine the efficiency of AOPs removal. Fenton and to determine the efficiency of BOD5, COD and TSS removal in the batik liquid waste treatment. This research used batch with a glass glass with a volume of 2000 mL. The reactor operation used a generator ozone and a magnetic stirrer. Magneticstirrer. The sample of batik liquid waste that has been prepared is taken as much as 1 litre and put into the reactor, as much as 1 litre and put into the reactor. Sample of batik liquid waste ozonated for 150 minutes and th addition of fenton reagent with a concentration of FeSO4.7H2O 10% and H2O2 35% each as much as 10 ml. This research found that the best removal efficiency of BOD5, COD and TSS in the treatment of batik liquid waste with the combination of ozonation and fenton treatment is 96%, 97% and 85% respectively.
