Abstract
Dalam abad 21 kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi kemampuan yang esensial bagi pendidikan . Peserta didik juga dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam berpikir kritis, kemempuan berpikir kritis dapat diartikan bahwa kemampuan seseorang
dalam menemukan informasi dan memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Dalam pembelajaran model yang paling berpengaruh dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah model pembelajaran problem based learning. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gaya kelas IV SD Plus Cahaya Budaya. Penelitian ini mengggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain one grup pre test posttest desaign penelitian ini menggunakan 1 kelas eksperimen (kelas IV) dan 1 kelas uji coba (kelas V). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes essayberupa pretest dan posttest, data analisis menggunakan uji -t teknik independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 5% menggunakan program SPSS 16 for windows. Hasil analisis data uji normalitas menunjukan nilai signifikansi 0,966 > 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai pretest dan posttest berdistribusi normal dan berdasarkan hasil uji t-tes t-hitung < t-tabel (-12.074 < 0,05) maka Ho di tolak artinya ada perbedaan antara pretest dan posttest artinya model pembelajaran problem based learning mempunyai pengaruh pada kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gaya kelas IV SD Plus Cahaya Budaya.

In the 21st century the ability to think critically becomes an essential ability for society. Students are also required to have the ability to think critically, the ability to think critically can be interpreted as a person's ability to find information and solve a problem. In the learning model that is most influential in developing critical thinking skills is the problem based learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on students' thinking skills and the style material for class IV SD Plus Cahaya Budaya. This study used
quantitative research, this study used 1 experimental class (class IV) and 1 trial (class V). This research design used 1 experimental class (class IV) and 1 trial class (class V). Data collection techniques used essay tests in the form of pretest and posttest, data analysis using the -t test independent sample t-test technique with a significance level of 5% using the SPSS 16 for windows program. The results of the analysis of the normality test data show a significance value of 0.966 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the pretest and posttest values are normally distributed and based on the results of the t-test t-test < t-table (-12.074 < 0.05) then Ho is rejected meaning there is a difference between the pretest and posttest, meaning that the problem-based learning model has students' critical thinking skills in class style material IV SD Plus Cahaya Budaya.
