DEVELOPING AN ENGLISH TIME MODULE FOR EIGHT GRADE STUDENTS AT MTS BILINGUAL SABILIL KHOIR PORONG

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah kurang efektifnya modul yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran English time. Siswa seringkali merasa bingung dan tidak tertarik saat belajar bahasa inggris karena mereka menganggap bahasa inggris itu
sulit. Kurangnya penjelasan dan contoh soal pada materi yang ada dalam modul juga menjadi penyebab kurangnya minat siwa dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan proses pengembangan modul English time serta menjelaskan respon siswa terhadap modul English time terbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Validasi desain, validasi materi, serta kuesioner siswa digunakan untuk menguji kelayakan modul English time terbaru. Hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 80% dengan kategori "sangat baik" dan hasil validasi ahli desain sebesar 80% dengan kategori "sangat baik". Hasil dari lembar angket respon siswa adalah 77% dengan kategori "sangat baik". Siswa tertarik belajar Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan modul English time terbaru. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa modul English Time terbaru layak dan praktis untuk digunakan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran English Time kelas 8 MTs Bilingual Sabilil Khoir Porong.

The background of this research is the ineffectiveness of the modules used in learning English time. Students often feel confused and uninterested when learning English because they think English is difficult. The lack of explanation and examples of questions on the material in the English time module also causes students’ lack of interest in learning English. The purpose of this research is to describe the process of developing English Time module and the students response about the new English Time module. This study uses the development research using the ADDIE development model. Design validation, material validation, and student questionnaires are used to test the feasibility of the new English time module. Material expert validation results were 80% in the "excellent" category and design expert validation results were 80% in the "excellent" category. The result of
the student response questionnaire sheet is 77% with the "excellent" category. Students are interested in learning English using the new English time module. From the results, it can be said that the new English Time module is feasible and practical for students to use in the English Time learning process for grade 8 MTs Bilingual Sabilil Khoir Porong.
