Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas delapan masih belum mampu berbicara dan memahami teks dan menulis dalam bahasa Inggris karena kurangnya kosa kata, siswa sulit membiasakan diri membawa kamus. Larangan bagi siswa untuk membawa ponsel berarti siswa memiliki akses yang terbatas untuk memperoleh kosa kata bahasa Inggris melalui internet atau digital, dan tidak ada perpustakaan untuk mengakses atau menemukan kamus bahasa Inggris. Kamus berbasis korpus untuk membantu siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan kamus berbasis korpus. Untuk menguji kelayakan kamus berbasis korpus yang dikembangkan melalui validasi ahli desain, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa. Serta untuk mengetahui daya tarik respon siswa dan guru, dibagikan angket respon. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan. Langkah�langkah penelitian ini berpedoman pada model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahap pengembangan melibatkan tiga validator yaitu ahli desain, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa untuk menilai kelayakan desain dan materi. Tahap ini juga melibatkan dua belas siswa dan satu guru bahasa Inggris di SMP Al-Manshur Candi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket respon. Hasil validasi ahli desain yang dilakukan sekali didapatkan 92% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Hasil validasi materi yang dilakukan oleh ahli
sekali diperoleh 96% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Hasil validasi kebahasaan yang dilakukan oleh ahli sekali diperoleh 85% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Untuk respon siswa dan guru diperoleh skor 100%, sehingga respon dari keduanya sangat menarik bagi mereka.

The background of this study is that eighth-grade students are still not able to speak and understand texts and write in English because of a lack of vocabulary, students find it difficult to get used to carrying a dictionary. The prohibition for students to carry cell phones means students have limited access to acquiring English vocabulary via the internet or digitally, and there is no library to access or find English dictionaries. Corpus-based dictionary to assist students in learning English. The purpose of this research is to develop a corpus-based dictionary. To test the
feasibility of a corpus-based dictionary that was developed through the validation of d design experts, material experts, and linguists. As well as to find out the attractiveness of student and teacher responses, a response questionnaire was distributed. This type of research is development. The steps of this research are guided by the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation,
Evaluation). The development stage involved three validators, namely design experts, material experts, and linguistic experts to assess the feasibility of the design
and materials. This stage also involved twelve students and one English teacher at SMP Al-Manshur Candi. The data collection instrument used was a response questionnaire. The results of the design expert validation which was carried out once obtained 92% with the "Excellent" criteria. The results of material validation carried out by experts once obtained 96% with the "Excellent" criteria. The results of linguistic validation carried out by experts once obtained 85% with the "Excellent" criterion. For student and teacher responses a score of 100% was obtained, so the responses from both were very interesting to them.
