Abstract

Memastikan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran dianggap perlu, begitu juga dalam implementasi Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) model. Khususnya dalam pengajaran speaking kelas 8 SMP Al-Manshur agar hasil yang didapatkan dapat lebih optimal. Model Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) ini bermanfaat untuk siswa lebih aktif berbicara, melalui 3 tahap yaitu Presentation, Practice, Production. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode descriptive qualitative, dengan menggunakan instrument observasi dan interview. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) ada tiga tahap. Setiap fase memiliki peran, aktivitas, dan model yang berbeda, dalam fase presentasi, guru memperkenalkan bahasa baru kepada siswa, dilakukan dengan menggunakan gambar atau membaca teks. Pada fase latihan, siswa mempraktikkan bahasa baru dalam bahasa kontrol. Pada tahap produksi, siswa didorong untuk menggunakan bahasa baru dengan cara yang lebih bebas dilakukan dengan tugas komunikasi atau membuat paragraf. Menggunakan teks recount dalam proses pembelajaran ini juga bermanfaat. Teks cerita ulang adalah teks sederhana, yang terkait dengan pengalaman siswa. Kesulitan guru dalam mengajar berbicara menggunakan model Presentation,
Practice, Production, (PPP) dalam pengucapan, beberapa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengucapkan kata yang benar. Namun, dengan model ini siswa termotivasi untuk berbicara karena mendapat bimbingan dari guru jika melakukan kesalahan, dan mereka dapat berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan baik, langkah demi langkah.

Ensure that the application of the learning model in the learning process is deemed necessary, as well as in the implementation of the Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) model. Especially in teaching speaking class 8 SMP Al�Manshur so that the results obtained can be more optimal. This Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) model is useful for students to be more active in speaking, through 3 stages, namely Presentation, Practice, Production. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, using observation and interview instruments. The results of the data analysis show that the implementation of the Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) model has three stages. Each phase has different roles, activities, and models. In the presentation phase, the teacher introduces a new language to students, using pictures or reading text. In the practice phase, students practice the new language in the control language. In the production stage, students are encouraged to use the new language in a way that is freer to do with communication assignments or creating paragraphs. Using recount text in the learning process is also useful. Recount text is a simple text, which is related to students' experiences. The teacher's difficulties in teaching speaking using the Presentation, Practice, Production, (PPP) model in
pronunciation, some students have difficulty pronouncing the correct words. However, with this model students are motivated to speak because they get guidance from the teacher if they make mistakes, and they can speak English well, step by step.
